Приятели, Кари премина лъчетерапия от 10 курса от 16 до 27 юни. На 26-ти в 1 часа през нощта Карина вдигна почти 40 градуса температура и спешно бяхме приети в болницата. След прегледи, кръвни изследвания, урина, рентген и ехограф разбраха, че има инфекция в белия дроб и бактерия в урината. Включиха ѝ 3 венозни антибиотика всеки ден, плюс един през устата. Все още сме в болницата и лекарите казват, че са овладели белодробната инфекция, но все още трябва да лекуват бактерията. Левкоцитите и еритроцитите пак спаднаха и се наложи преливане на кръв и да се започнат пак инжекции с Фравен.
Молим ви, дарители, продължавайте да ни подкрепяте! Предстои започване на имунотерапия с хапчета Темодал, тъй като Кари все още няма навършена 1 годинка. Ежеседмично проследяване с кръвни изследвания. Планът е през август да се направи ЯМР и да се продължи с Темодала. След навършване на 1 годинка започваме със страшната (болезнена) имунотерапия Карзиба на вливки, която тече заедно с морфин. Карзиба е много скъпо лекарство и ще трябва да съберем още страшно много средства.

Friends, Carrie underwent 10 courses of radiation therapy from June 16-27. On the 26th at 1 am, Carina ran a fever of almost 40 degrees and we were admitted to the hospital urgently. After checkups, blood work, urinalysis, x-rays and ultrasound, they realized she had an infection in her lung and bacteria in her urine. They put her on 3 intravenous antibiotics every day, plus one by mouth. We are still in the hospital and the doctors say they have gotten the lung infection under control, but still need to treat the bacteria. Leukocytes and erythrocytes dropped again and we had to have a blood transfusion and start the Franken injections again.
Please, donors, keep supporting us! Immunotherapy with Temodal pills is about to start as Kari is not yet 1 year old. Weekly follow up with blood tests. The plan is to do an MRI in August and continue with Temodal. After turning 1 year old we start with the dreaded (painful) Carziba infused immunotherapy that runs along with morphine. Carziba is a very expensive drug and we will have to raise an awful lot more money.
