Georgi Koleolov is 45 years old from Ruse. He and I have two beautiful girls who long for their daddy to come home, healthy.

In 2021, our lives were turned upside down when it was discovered that Georgi had a brain tumor that needed to be operated on urgently. The finding turned out to be high-grade cancer and the doctors in Vulgaria decided to start chemo and radiation at the same time. After two months of treatments, instead of improvement, George's condition deteriorated dramatically. He could not move, had difficulty speaking and swallowing. The doctors said there was no alternative to treatment and we should prepare for the worst outcome. They gave him ten days, up to a month.

I couldn't reconcile and we sought specialists outside our state. In Turkey, at the Anadolu Clinic Johns Hopkins, they did the necessary tests on the genetic mutation of the tumor and gave us hope for an appropriate treatment: target therapy with an American drug. With the help of relatives, friends and well-meaning acquaintances, we raised the necessary amount to start the therapy and soon positive results were available. We regained our hope for life, for healing, for happiness. And for nine months now we have not tired of fighting.

But the amounts that cover George's stay and treatment are prohibitive for us. Whatever opportunities we had to sell property and land - we did.

We need funds and support because we cannot manage on our own.
