My name is Rositsa and I ask for support for my husband Angel, 47 years old. He has been battling low grade G3 neuroendocrine carcinoma for over a year. It is a very fast growing and metastasizing carcinoma.

Angel is a carpenter and carver. He lovingly makes icons and other wood products that he puts a piece of himself into. Today, however, it is he who needs support and a miracle.

In Bulgaria, he went through two cervical lymph node surgeries and 7 courses of chemotherapy. When the treatment stopped working, months of rejections and shuttling between different hospitals followed. With this diagnosis we were literally written off - we heard that everything was done and there were no other options. During this time the disease progressed - huge metastases appeared in the liver, lung and bones, as well as a tumour in the cavernous sinus, resulting in severe headaches, double vision and general deterioration.

As a matter of urgency and at our own expense, we began treatment in Turkey. There, a new staging was performed, histological examinations and biopsy from the liver were done, as well as radiosurgery in the cavernous sinus. Systemic immunotherapy and chemotherapy every 21 days was prescribed. One infusion is worth 5500 euros, with 8 courses currently scheduled - a total of 44,000 euros - an amount unaffordable for our family.

We have two children, a girl of 7 and a boy of 18. We need support so that their father can continue his treatment and stay by their side.
